It's
Smokin
Its not often that a town our size has its own smokehouse.
Hickman and Weatherford Smokehouse has a history of smoking
and southern cooking that goes back further than the Redlands
own history. This is in the roots of owners Paul and Kelly
(Weatherford descendant) Hickman. Their families have been
smoking and cooking since the early 1800s in Kentucky.
Their quaint restaurant is very informal emphasizing that
"down-to-earth", relaxed atmosphere. You feel
right at home eating their renowned Baby Back Ribs (half
rack is $7.95 and full rack is $12.95) with your hands
extra napkins are always on the table. Open at 11am, they
are ready to serve you smoked Pulled Pork, Brisket, Slip,
Turkey and Chicken sandwiches (sandwiches are $4.95 each).
All you have to do is follow your nose when you are on West
State Street opposite side of the Mall from downtown.
They are at 615 West State Street.
They feature dinner specials (ranging from $7.95 to $9.95
depending on side dishes) of smoked Baby Backed Ribs, smoked
Beef Ribs and smoked Ham plus what is offered for lunch.
To accompany their great smoked meats are their own side
dishes from baked beans to salads to corn pudding. And for
dessert you cant pass up Violas Sweet Potato
Pie serving dinner until 8pm.
They do their own smoking on the premises, so if you provide
your own meat theyll smoke it for you. They are happy
to cater your special events. So when you are west of the
Mall, follow your nose to Hickman and Weatherford Smokehouse
for some good old fashioned smoked meats.
